Quite a lot of actors in this show auditioned for different roles, and then they found that they liked the actor that didn’t know that they were right for that role and eventually found the right fit for certain people. But with Jon, it was the first role I went up for. I had three auditions for it and got it. To be honest, when I read the first pilot and I saw him on paper, even before I went up for the role, I liked things in him that I would’ve naturally been drawn to anyway. I think he’s a fabulous character to be able to play in the kind of mystery he has surrounding him and the fact that he’s a young hero and he’s got this wonderful storyline ahead of him, this lonely road he has to go on.
